It's a common fact that radiation have the capabilities to re-awake and further mutate zombies after they were killed by the initial explosion... the DEAD UNDEAD RAAAAAWWWR
or if they were born from radiation they might have become imune because in the game it says that they may have been born from cemicals and they could have been radioative
